The year is 2022.
It has been twenty four years since the end of the Second Wizarding War and for twenty four years the wizarding world has known peace and tranquility. All thanks to the boy-who-lived, who is now a man by the way, Harry Potter.
But just because a war ended doesn't mean the prejudice and discrimination has ended.
Although the four houses of Hogwarts stood united during the Battle of Hogwarts, this unity didn't last as long as many had hoped. After all, old habits and old grudges die hard, very hard.
It was during James Potter's first year at Hogwarts when the wizarding school realized just how hard.
Egotistical from his father's fame, James Potter walked into Hogwarts as if he rules the school, and the students let him get away with it too. He was the first son of Harry Potter after all. He was sorted into Gryffindor with his three friends who would later become the New Marauders, and immediately started a war against the Slytherins.
Now, it's common knowledge that Gryffindor and Slytherin are rivals but what used to be a friendly rivalry became a full blown war. A war that left Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs reluctant to be friends with students of either of the two houses.
It was during James' second year when everything changed and this war infected all of Hogwarts, not just the Gryffindor and Slytherin house.
What changed the game plan?
1) When John Smith, son of Zacharias Smith, of the Hufflepuff house had enough of James' constant berating of how Hufflepuffs are a "load of doffers and pushovers" and started fighting back against the Gryffindor's taunts.
2) When Ivy Flint, daughter of Marcus Flint and Pansy Parkinson, also got tired of James' constant insults he slings at Slytherin, about how they are traitors, evil, and no good, decided to fight back against his tyranny.
3) When Scorpius Malfoy's younger sister was sorted into Ravenclaw and James' perspective on the Ravenclaw house turned sour. He started lashing out against Ravenclaw calling them a "house gone wrong" which caused his former friend, the son of Oliver Wood and Cho Chang, to turn against him.
And what really fueled James' anger was:
4) When James' younger brother, Albus Potter, got sorted into Slytherin and soon became best friends with Scorpius Malfoy and the rest of the Slytherins.
An all out war broke between the four houses of Hogwarts.
Gryffindors, prideful of the fact that the Golden Trio who saved the wizarding world hailed from their house, saw themselves as the superior house. They saw Slytherin as their arch-enemy, Ravenclaw as an ally turned evil, and Hufflepuff as a house not worth looking at.
Ravenclaws, angry at the school's treatment of their house because a Malfoy was sorted under their name, saw Gryffindors as jerks for leading this rebellion and hated the lions with every fiber of their being. They are wary of Hufflepuff because Hufflepuffs started seeing them the same way as Gryffindor sees them: a house that is potentially going all wrong. As for Slytherin, in order keep their reputation from going complete "evil", Ravenclaws started hating them too. They shunned Scorpius' sister and made it a point not to associate themselves with any Slytherin. The last thing they want to be considered any more "tainted" because of the Malfoy girl or because they associate themselves with any Slytherin.
Hufflepuffs, tired of being considered the bottom of the barrel house and the rejects, fought back against Gryffindor for treating them that way. They are also wary of Ravenclaw, hating the way Ravenclaws have adopted the Gryffindor's view of them. They are also wary of the Ravens because of the Malfoy-girl. As for Slytherins, Hufflepuffs are also on sour terms with Slytherins. Mostly because of Slytherin's hosue reputation and because ever since Ivy Flint started fighting back, Slytherins started to see themselves as superior.
And finally the Slytherins, who are sick and tired of being the "evil house", the "traitor's house", the "backstabbers of Hogwarts" fought back the hardest against Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff for seeing them this way. They have no real allies and every one is an enemy.
It is the year 2022.
It has been twenty four years since the end of the Second Wizarding War and for twenty four years the wizarding world has known a false sort of peace and tranquility.
It is James Potter's final year at Hogwarts. Hatred, discrimination, and prejudice run rampant in the halls of Hogwarts. This hatred is stronger than ever, threatening to destroy Hogwarts from the inside out.
Then again, what else can you expect from a group of children who were born to famous parents and raised on the Edge of Glory?
Now, only one question remains: Will Hogwarts ever find true peace and acceptance? Or will all this animosity and arrogance tear this school apart, brick by brick?
The choice is yours.
We're all living at the Edge of Glory
But as with any war and any form of chaos, a need for peace and tranquility arises. While the four leaders of Hogwarts squabble among each other over who the superior house is, a group is beginning to form. A resistance group created to try and over throw the four leaders who dare call themselves Hogwart's Royalties.
So under the guise of a Muggle Appreciation Work Group, aka M.A.W.G, they start to form their plans as their leader, a seventh year Hufflepuff girl and close friends with the Hufflepuff Heir, tries to recruit as many students as possible to her aide. But the question is, can peace truly come? How will this resistence group be able to overthrow the four house leaders? After all, take a look at the line up:
Ivy Flint: the Slytherin Princess. Head Girl of Hogwarts. Seeker for her Quidditch team. Prideful, arrogant, but powerful. It's hard to overthrow a girl who could easily toss you into detention without batting an eyelash.
John Smith: the Hufflepuff Heir. Seventh year prefect. Kind to all. Respectable. Friendly. How can you overthrow someone who is probably one of the nicest people you will have met in your entire life?
Tae Hyun Chang: Ravenclaw's Royalty. Head Boy of Hogwarts. Skilled Duelist. Tempermental. Favored by teachers for his intelligence. Mess with him and he could either hex you or take more points away from your house than you can count. Remember, he was the one who managed to hex James Potter.
James Sirius potter: Gryffindor King. Dueling club president. Quidditch Captain. The Son of Harry Potter. Enough said.
So how can a ragtag group of students be able to overthrow these four leaders? Especially since these four seemed to be favored by every god known to mankind?
Well, you know what they say right? No guts. No Glory.
But how can you get peace by violently overthrowing the old monarchy? Then again, how can you get peace any other way?
